Reflection Time! Gathering the Moon Workshop @ The Ten Acre Garden

I think it’s important to find the time to take a moment to reflect on our accomplishments no matter how large or small! This weekend was a milestone for me and I wanted to take a moment and share (which is its own accomplishment being a sah mom of two toddlers, finding extra time for anything is a challenge🤪).

I’ve spent countless hours creating and making and experimenting and writing and finally on Sunday I took a leap of faith and taught my first papermaking class. It felt so special because my father (who passed away a few years ago) was a Capricorn and it was a Capricorn full moon last month and also on Sunday when I taught (called a blue 🌝). He was an artist and I could feel him all around me so proud! He was also stoked that I had a great playlist prepared- he was all about creating an atmosphere and music 🎶 is key.

I’m in the midst of building Studio Blynne and have been postponing workshops as I wait for the build to be accomplished and when asked to teach this workshop at The Ten Acre Garden, I said yes and I am so glad I did! I met a group of wonderful and inspiring people that shared in the joy of creating paper and also community. Everyone exchanged stories and I learned a lot about their connections to craft and nature. I am truly grateful to be able to teach and be surrounded by such unique and interesting people- not to mention the beautiful paper everyone created!

I’m looking forward to some new upcoming workshops at The Ten Acre Garden and also for all of the wonderful events coming soon at Studio Blynne (handmade ceramic lamps with local tree bark lamp shades- yes please!) Exploring and creating with people is such a treat!!!

Reflection Takeaway- always say yes when opportunities arise. Stop wasting time waiting for the “perfect” moment- that perfect moment is right now!
